Recipe Sunday: Turkey Chili

When it gets cold out side there is nothing like a bowl of soup or chili to warm you up.  Last week I made some yummy turkey chili.  Try these recipes out.

Turkey Chili

Turkey Chili

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 1/2 stick of celery, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3/4 pound 99% fat-free ground turkey
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 14 1/2-ounce can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 8-ounce can tomato sauce, no salt added
  • 1 15-ounce can black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 4 tbsp fat-free sour cream or yogurt
  • 4 tbsp fresh chopped cilantro (optional)

Quick and Healthy Turkey Chili

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp. GOYA® Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped (about 1 cup)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped (about 1 cup)
  • 2 tbsp. GOYA® Minced Garlic, or 6 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 11/2 tsp. ground cumin
  • GOYA® Adobo All-Purpose Seasoning with Pepper, to taste
  • 2 cans (15 oz. each) GOYA® Low Sodium Red Kidney Beans, drained
  • 2 cans (8 oz. each) GOYA® Tomato Sauce
  • 1 chipotle chile, finely chopped from 1 can (7 oz.) GOYA® Chipotle Chiles in Adobo Sauce
  • 1/4 cup shredded Monterey jack cheese
  • 1 avocado, chopped
  • Coarsely chopped fresh cilantro
