I’m definitely from the school of functional and practical. I will splurge on items I know I will use more than once or will have to use for months on end. Hence, why I believe a womans diaper bag should fit her sense of style and be in the color of her choosing.
I’m not a fan of character diaper bags (this is just my opinion) because as a working mom (soon to be of two) I need to be able to take my bag from work to out with the kids and not miss a beat. I don’t like traveling with multiple bags especially if I have to carry them. 🙂 So, my bag needs to be large enough to hold my wallet, phone and all my baby/toddler essentials. I love these bags below because they don’t SHOUT diaper bag – instead they SHOUT chic mom on the go. BOOM! 🙂
I’m currently sporting the grey Marc by Marc Jacobs diaper bag. I absolutely love it! It’s nylon which means it can be wiped down or tossed in the laundry on a gentle cycle and air-dried. It’s easy for work and play. I also have the Timi & Leslie in yellow (not the teal blue shown). I reviewed that bag here if you want more information on that one.
You know your style and what will work best for every day use – so splurge a little if you have to because you’ll be wearing this bag for at least the next 2 years. 🙂
